The 21st Century Hananiah: Maria Divine Mercy

May this serve as a warning to this false prophet Maria Divine Mercy, for God has no patience with people who take His name in vein, put the words of the devil into His mouth, and plunge His people into mortal sins of heresy and schism.

“To the prophet Hananiah the prophet Jeremiah said: Hear this, Hananiah! The LORD has not sent you, and you have raised false confidence in this people.  For this, says the LORD, I will dispatch you from the face of the earth; this very year you shall die, because you have preached rebellion against the LORD. That same year, in the seventh month, Hananiah the prophet died.
- Jeremiah 28:15-17

Anonymity may protect MDM from the direct and personal condemnation of the bishops and laity, or an investigation by local tax authorities on her sources of funds, but such
ruse that would even mock the Divine Mercy devotion of St. Faustina, will not escape the wrath and judgement of God, whose omnipresence and omnipotence sees into our hearts.  As the Lord said, “Vengeance is mine.” (Romans 12:19)

Infallibility on Matters of Faith and Morals

"Wherefore, by divine and Catholic faith all those things are to be believed which are contained in the word of God as found in Scripture and Tradition, and which are proposed by the Church as matters to be believed as divinely revealed, whether by her solemn judgment or in her ordinary and universal Magisterium." (First Vatican Council, Dei Filius 8.)

Most of the teachings defined and promulgated by the sacred Catholic magisterium are considered infallible doctrines and fall into two categories of precedence that are both considered of the highest theological certitude. The higher of the two belongs to de fide credenda (faith to be believed) doctrines that are explicitly defined and specifically revealed in the deposit of faith. These include all teachings issued through encyclicals, Conciliar decrees and declarations of doctrine in various Ecumenical Councils such as the Council of Trent's decree on justification, Vatican I's definition of papal infallibility, and the Marian dogmas like Pope Pius IX's definition of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, and Pope Pius XII's definition of the Assumption of Mary, just to mention some.

The other lower but equally infallible teachings fall under de fide tenenda (faith to be held). These are not explicitly part of the deposit of faith, but are implied as inherently connected to the deposit of faith historically or logically. They demand supernatural faith, not specifically resting on the Divine authority of the Word of God as already revealed in scripture and tradition, but rather as part of the faith in the Holy Spirit's unequivocal guarantee of the authority and infallibility of the Church in matters of faith and morals. Future discernment may eventually lead a de fide tenenda teaching from being merely implied by the deposit of faith, to being explicitly contained thereat and be elevated into de fide credenda status.

Certainty of the Pope's Status

One of the infallible dogmatic teachings of the Catholic magisterium under de fide tenenda is the Papal Election where the Holy Spirit works to proclaim a new Pontiff.  There can be no Pope who is bestowed infallibility on matters of faith and morals if he has not been elected with unquestioned infallibility as the Vicar of Christ on earth.

"...we have human moral certainty that the reigning Pontiff was validly elected in conclave and accepted the office of Bishop of Rome, thus becoming head of the universal Church. The unanimous consensus of a large group of Cardinals composing the electoral body gave us this assurance... in the case of the Pope we have a higher grade of certainty – a certainty that excludes not merely the prudent fear of the opposite, but even the possible fear of the opposite. In other words, we have infallible certainty that the present Sovereign Pontiff has been incorporated into the Church by a valid baptism and has been validly elected head of the universal Church.

For if we did not have infallible assurance that the ruling Pontiff is truly in the eyes of God the chief teacher of the Church of Christ, how could we accept as infallibly true his solemn pronouncements? This is an example of a fact that is not contained in the deposit of revelation but is so intimately connected with revelation that it must be within the scope of the Church's magisterial authority to declare it infallibly. The whole Church, teaching and believing, declares and believes this fact, and from this it follows that this fact is infallibly true. We accept it with ecclesiastical – not divine – faith, based on the authority of the infallible Church.American Ecclesiastical Review, Vol. 153, Dec. 1965, page 422.

13 March 2013
“I have not appointed
this person (Pope Francis) who claims
to come in My Name….
His throne  (the throne of Peter)
has been stolen. His power has not."

Open rebellion against the Pope

Repudiate the pope, and you repudiate Jesus Christ working in the Papal enclave through the providential guidance of the Holy Spirit. Repudiate the Pope and you renounce Jesus Christ.  No one can rightly claim to be a Catholic believing and following Jesus Christ, while rejecting the Pope.

Anyone who refuses to accept and even impugns on known truths such as the canonical papal election of the Vicar of Christ on earth occasioned by the providence of the Holy Spirit has effectively blasphemed against the Holy Spirit.  By rejecting as a false pope the current Pope Francis as head the one true Holy Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church that Jesus Christ built over which the “gates of hell will not prevail” (Mat 10:18), MDM clearly denigrates and mocks the power of Christ as the Head of His own body, the Church.

By openly rejecting the current Pope Francis, MDM is fomenting disobedience and open rebellion against the Vicar of Christ on earth within the church hierarchy and among its flock.  There can be no other motive. By asserting that the current Pope is a false pope, not only is the divinely driven Papal enclave of March 2013 repudiated, the indefectibility of the Catholic Church is mocked and a Jesus Christ who heads his body in His Church is made to look inutile and powerless to do anything for electing a heretical pope, if at all.

In short, Mary Divine Mercy repeats the abomination of the false prophet Hananiah for preaching open rebellion against the Lord represented by Pope Francis on earth.

Anyone who arrogates divine inspiration in messages by putting the words that only the devil can utter into the holy mouths of the Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit , God the Father and the Virgin Mary, has reserved for himself, herself or itself, a place in the eternal fires of damnation.   It does not matter whether this MDM is a person or an organization hiding behind anonymity. They will all suffer the same comeuppance as what Hananiah merited from God in his time.

Anyone who wittingly creates the same false confidence that Hananiah did in misleading the people of his time, as unmistakably as MDM is misleading gullible Catholics of the 21st century who did not know any better,  inherits the same eternal damnation that Hananiah has brought on himself.
