Internet False Prophet

Interesting article on the Catholic Internet and... Maria Divine Mercy from Father Angelo M. Geiger, a Franciscan Friar of the Immaculate, and a priest for more than twenty years:

Father Angelo M. Geiger
There are many reasons to know this woman (Maria Divine Mercy) is a fraud, some of them doctrinal, some of them having to do with the money trail, and some of them just common sense: Is MDM the seventh Angel of the Apocalypse? No she is not.
That there is not a single bishop that supports her, but many who condemn the messages one might think would be a clue. But of course, conspiracy theory always has a ready answer. Everything is connected: false prophet pope, evil bishops—you know, private revelation comes first.

Maria Divine Mercy: A Dangerous Demonic Deception

By Father John Abberton

Fr. John Abberton
"I am a priest exorcist of 15 years experience. I have permission to share these things.

I now have permission to say these things. Lately I have been trying to help a lady who used to read these false messages. This lady has been possessed by many demons. I cannot say how many. I have had many sessions with her, in the presence of another priest and a lay woman who are witnesses to what I have to say.

This person came to me shortly after she had stopped reading those false messages. The reason she stopped was that she felt "spiritually dead" in spite of saying the prayers recommended by the messages, including the Rosary, and she realised that she was not growing in faith etc. She felt unhappy about this and was strangely ill at ease. As soon as she stopped she was attacked by a demon. She felt its presence and then she realised that she needed help.

Renowned Exorcist: Maria Divine Mercy's Visions Undoubtedly False

Father Elija Vella, an exorcist from Malta
Father Elija Vella was asked about Maria Divine Mercy during a Radio Maria program. Below is the transcript of what he had to say on the subject:

Question sent to Fr Elija: "For someone to say she is Maria Divine Mercy and that Jesus is appearing to her and He tells her the Pope is False. How can we find out if this person is genuine or not? Because a number of persons, some of them go to Mass every day, are believing these messages. What do you think?"

Fr. Elija: Thanks for asking because this way I will have the chance to reply to

Maria Divine Mercy Exposed

By Rev. John B. Wang, Ph.D., J.U.D

MDM stands for Maria Divine Mercy, a pseudonym assumed by an alleged Irish woman, who claims to receive messages from Heaven. However, this writer believes that MDM is just a front, behind which there are some ghost writers, who are enemies of the Catholic Church and of Pope Francis. Very probably the Lefebvre group or some arch-conservatives are behind this plot. These people are favorable to Pope Benedict XVI who had bent over backwards to tolerate them. But they have been attacking Pope Francis, a holy, humble person, legitimately elected to the chair of Peter, to lead the Church on our journey of salvation.

Despite repeated condemnation by Church authorities around the world (Europe, Australia, and America), MDM

Huge falsehoods in the Open Letter of Fr. Elsinger

Huge falsehoods in the open letter of Fr. F. Elsinger who supports the messages of the 'WarningSecondComing'

Father Szilveszter OFM, Hungary
The letter adressed to Dr. Mark Miravalle, professor of theology, by Fr. F. Elsinger is clearly a witness that neither its writer (who is maybe unfortunately a priest?), nor its distributors, know the Bible nor the teaching of the Catholic Church. If they knew, they probably wouldn't have written it, and they wouldn't spread this letter whose intention is to mislead sincere people.

The retorical question of Mr. Elsinger: "What kind of evil spirit would ask you to pray the most Holy Rosary daily?”

Dear Mr. Elsinger and Dear MDM followers,
The kind of evil spirit which drives the water to the mill by itself. While it tries to build a community for itself and divide the Church in the meantime, does it matter what people do or pray?

Mr. Elsinger: "... as well as the loyalty to the traditional teaching of the Catholic Church”

Stating such thing is extreme, shall I say absurd! Even the little children in catechism class would know what the writer and the distributors of this letter fail to acknowledge. "The traditional teaching of the Catholic Church” says that the head of the Church on earth, who was given the keys to the Kingdom of God, is the officially elected pope, who is now Pope Francis - and who is denied by the followers of MDM as the false prophet.

Mr. Elsinger: "I’ve got another question, if I may... Jesus established his Church with Peter as his prime governor on Earth with at least two other apostles  with James and John...”

Here’s another severe blunder! Did the Lord Jesus, really establish his Church with only three apostles and not with 12 apostoles, which is also stated in the Bible?

Mr. Elsinger: "How Jesus dared act independently from the Church hierarchy and convert Saul unexpectedly according to his Will? And not only He converted him, but taught him the Gospel and ordained him as an apostle independently from Peter? How could this happen, if Jesus is always and forever forced to stay between the limits of the hierarchy of His Own Church?"

Did the Lord Jesus really act independently from hierarchy when He converted Saul and appointed him as his Apostle and ordered to preach the Gospel?

Dear writer and MDM followers, if I only grab a half sentence from the Bible, I can prove from the Bible that there is  "no God".
"There is no God!" – states the first verse of Psalm 14. But if I put the first half of the sentence to the right place, the whole text sounds quite different: "The fool has said in his heart: "There is not God!”

Mr. Elsinger has done the same thing too, he only talks about part of the Truth. It is true, indeed, that on the way to Damascus there isn't any actual representative of the hierarchical Church at the event that starts Saul on his way to conversion and becoming an apostle  but how could there be, when he was up to eliminate the followers of Christ and wanted to imprison them?

After what happened on the way to Damascus, Jesus himself, who appeared on the way, sent the blinded Saul to the representative of the Church in Damascus, and sent Ananias to him as well, who would give him his sight back and accept him in the official Church by baptising him.
Let’s see what the Bible says. In the Acts of the Apostles we can read:
"As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.  He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? ”Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” (Acts 9: 3-6)
”In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord,” he answered.  The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.” “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem. And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.” But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized, and after taking some food, he regained his strength.” (Acts 9: 10-19)

Later we can read:
"When he came to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple. But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.  So Saul stayed with them and moved about freely in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.” (Acts 9: 26-28)

These parts of the Scripture don’t suggest to me in any way that the Lord Jesus led Saul to the whole Truth apart from the actual Church and hierarchy and thus made him an apostle.

How did Paul apostle think and how did he approach the actual Church and its leaders? When a problem arose with the teaching, what did he do? Did he try to solve it by himself?

No, he didn't. He went to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders to receive details. Even though he probably had a good relationship with the Lord Jesus, he went for advice to the leaders of the Church established by Him and submitted to their decision.

"Certain people came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the believers: “Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved.” This brought Paul and Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them. So Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question. The church sent them on their way, and as they traveled through Phoenicia and Samaria, they told how the Gentiles had been converted. This news made all the believers very glad. When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and elders, to whom they reported everything God had done through them. Then some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, “The Gentiles must be circumcised and required to keep the law of Moses.” The apostles and elders met to consider this question.”(Acts 15: 1-6)

And after the debate, the hierarchical Church, under the reign of Peter, made a decision:
”Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They sent Judas called Barsab'bas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren, with the following letter: "The brethren, both the apostles and the elders, to the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cili'cia, greeting. Since we have heard that some persons from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions, it has seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, men who have risked their lives for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ.  We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will tell you the same things by word of mouth.” (Acts 15: 22-27)

St Peter and St. Paul
Mr Elsinger asks:  "How Jesus dared act independently from the Church hierarchy and convert Saul unexpectedly according to His Will? And not only He converted him, but taught him the Gospel and ordained him as an apostle independently from Peter?"

The answer of apostole Paul can be read in the letter to Galatians:
"Then after fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus along with me. I went up by revelation; and I laid before them (but privately before those who were of repute) the gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, lest somehow I should be running or had run in vain. But even Titus, who was with me, was not compelled to be circumcised, though he was a Greek. But because of false brethren secretly brought in, who slipped in to spy out our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage-- to them we did not yield submission even for a moment, that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you. And from those who were reputed to be something (what they were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality) --those, I say, who were of repute added nothing to me; but on the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been entrusted with the gospel to the circumcised (for he who worked through Peter for the mission to the circumcised worked through me also for the Gentiles), and when they perceived the grace that was given to me, James and Cephas and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised;” (Gal 2: 1-9)

Mr. Eisnger finished his letter this way: "I accept these messages literally, declaring my full loyalty to the traditional teaching of the Catholic Church, especially as Bl Pope John Paul II preached it in our days.”

As I previously mentioned, stating this is extreme, and absurd.

The traditional teaching of Blessed Pope John Paul  was published around 20 years ago in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which these messages completely contradict.

It is this or that. I either accept the teaching of the Church and I am the member of the Catholic Church, or I accept the messages of this 'great warning' and thus disinherit myself from the Church. The latter indicates naturally that I can’t take sacraments, I can’t go to confession and I can’t receive communion. I cannot accept both. Even the little children in religion class know what the writer and distributors of these messages fail to acknowledge. Accepting the officially elected Pope belongs to " the traditional teaching of the Catholic Church", and now Francis is the Pope - who is denied and refused by these MDM followers who think he is a false prophet.

In conclusion, it is rewarding to read the Bible and the Cathecism and study
them seriously. Those willing to do this, will realize that MDM messages are the ”golden tabernacles” in the message of 30th of April, 2013.  If we poke them a little, we find that "not all that glitters is gold" that behind the golden colour we find wood, stone, brick or metal. Even the messages that bring you to pray more, confess, receive the Holy Eucharist, attend the Holy Mass have heresy and falsehood behind them.

Dr. Mark Miraville, a famous Mariologist and professor of theology in the Franciscan University of Steubenville said:
”It is realistic, in my opinion, during our contemporary experience of challenge and change presently being experienced in the Church and in the world, to expect even more false messages in the times to come—false messages intermixed with true content--which serve the diabolical goal to distract us from authentic Church authority and doctrine, and from Heaven’s authentic message for our age.
This can only be countered and remedied by a renewed commitment of obedience to our Holy Father, Pope Francis, and to all legitimate Church authority. Let us jointly and fervently pray for our beloved Holy Father, Pope Francis; for our holy Catholic Church; for the Triumph of Divine Mercy and the Immaculate Heart of Mary as found in authentic contemporary messages of Jesus and Mary; and for the peaceful conversion and reconciliation of the alleged seer and all her present supporters into the heart, obedience, and unity of the Church.”

A Warning on the Warning

By Fr. John Hogan

This article dated 05 March 2013 was lifted verbatim from Ex Umbris Et Imaginibus, the blog site of Fr. John  Hogan, for the information of our readers.  Here it is in full:

I received an interesting letter in the post today.  Well, it was not a letter really, but rather a series of photocopied pages sent anonymously with some of the "messages" from a self-proclaimed seer who calls herself "Maria Divine Mercy.  These "messages" appear in her books and website and claim to prophesy that a "Warning" is coming and the end of the world is near.  Among the messages was one which seems to have been tailored for current events. It seems, according to "Maria Divine Mercy", the next Pope will be the false prophet.

According to the "message" of the 17th February 2013:

"...the schism within the Catholic Church, as foretold, will now be witnessed, for all the world to see...The Masonic elite have grasped control over My Church and they will wield the most wicket deceit upon Catholics....The false prophet will now take over the Seat in Rome and My Word, just as it was in My Time on earth, will be treated as heresy."

Maria Divine Mercy" claims Jesus is speaking through her.

So that will come as a surprise to our new Holy Father - he will be the false prophet and he will treat the Word of God as heresy.  Astonishing claims.

Fr. John Hogan
"To reject the next Pope and call him
the false prophet is to enter into
schism, and schismatics incur an
automatic excommunication."

"I would ask all Catholics to stay clear
of this woman and her "messages".
Well, for the last number of months I have been hearing a lot about this woman who hides behind the title of "Maria Divine Mercy".   Meeting with various prayer groups, I see many of the faithful in Ireland are reading her book and some of them are being persuaded over to her point of view.  Indeed good, orthodox prayer groups are being torn apart as some members take this woman's line and others, aware of the difficulties in her teachings, try to stay clear.  These latter Catholics, who cherish the Gospel and union with the Pope, are being rounded on by the others and accused of not being real Catholics, of failing Christ.

For more information on this "seer" read Jimmy Aiken's recent article.  This is an excellent, concise summary and rebuttal of the "messages".

In reality this woman is leading people astray: she is fomenting schism in the Church, and many good people who have fallen for her false teachings are now becoming enemies of the Church as they promote her "messages".  Indeed when faithful priests point out the errors in these supposed revelations they are attacked by those who were once faithful Catholics.  Now it seems these very followers will reject the new Pope, brand him the false prophet and so take themselves out of communion with the Catholic Church.

In one of her "messages" she claims: "He [the Antichrist] will be head of the New World Religion and he, and the False Prophet, who will head up the shell of the Catholic Church on earth will work closely to deceive all of God’s children".  So, it seems, those who remain in the Catholic Church in disobedience to "Maria Divine Mercy's" call will be working for the Antichrist.

What is going on?  I think it may well be a case of a false prophet indeed - only it is not the Pope.  In these difficult times for the Church we orthodox faithful need to stick together, need to support each other and encourage each other to live the faith as well as we can in union with the Holy Father.  The devil tries everything he can to try and tear this communion apart, and it seems we may well have another attempt in these false "messages", one which is having some success.

I would ask all Catholics to stay clear of this woman and her "messages".  For one thing we cannot establish her credentials.  When the Church examines the authenticity of any supernatural events or revelations she examines the alleged seers because their lives and integrity are part of the investigation.   If any alleged seer hides behind a pseudonym, even if they claim it is for the sake of humility, their integrity cannot be established, they are frustrating attempts of the faithful to weigh up whether this person is genuine or not.  If you look at the history of the Church no authentic seer hid behind a pseudonym - they were known and submitted to the judgement of the Church.  Through her invented persona and "messages", "Maria Divine Mercy" is trying to avoid that, and that speaks volumes.

I expect a backlash.  A priest I know wrote an article exposing the heresy and inconsistencies in these "messages" some time ago and soon after she was getting "messages" condemning him.  So I presume if her followers are offended with what I have written I will pop up in the next "revelation" - this is how false prophets try to quash criticism.

As Jimmy Aiken correctly points out: to adhere to the "messages" and supposed prophecies of "Maria Divine Mercy" can result in grave sin and lead to formal schism.  To reject the next Pope and call him the false prophet is to enter into schism, and schismatics incur an automatic excommunication.  Harsh things to end this post, but this is serious.  "Maria Divine Mercy" may well be putting her immortal soul in danger, she should not  have companions on that road to perdition, but rather people who try to bring her to conversion.

Fr. Owen Gorman speaks about Maria Divine Mercy

Fr. Owen Gorman wrote this article for his column on the March 2012 issue of the Alive newspaper in Ireland after making a review of the alleged divine revelations from an anonymous Irish visionary hiding behind a false name 'Maria Divine Mercy'.  Below is the article:

Many faithful Christians at present believe that the world has gotten so bad that God will intervene directly in human affairs to bring us to our senses. Something big will happen, they say, and soon!
This view is central to a website, ‘the warning second coming’, that is popular with some Catholics. It is associated with an anonymous European seer’ who goes by the name, ‘Maria Divine Mercy’.
The website claims that since November 2010, ‘Maria’ has been receiving messages from God the Father, Jesus and Our Lady. They speak of a worldwide warning from God, the need for conversion and the Second Coming of Christ.

In judging private revelations, the Church rightly proceeds with great caution. If any “revelation” contains a substantive doctrinal or moral error it can be dismissed as being ‘not of supernatural origin’.

Applying this standard to ‘Maria Divine Mercy’, we  find a number of doctrinal errors in her writings. Here are sample messages followed by responses based on Church teaching:

Fr. Owen Gorman
(1) Message (20 May 2011): Many people believe that My Second Coming indicates that the end of the world has come. This is not the case, for instead, it will mean the End Times when Satan and his followers will be banished from earth for 1000 years.
Response: The revelation of Jesus’ passion is found in the four Gospels, which are inspired by God.   To claim that the events around Jesus’ crucifixion have not been revealed as they were meant to be belittles Biblical revelation. It implies that the Gospel accounts are defective. But this cannot be, for God Himself is the author of Scripture which manifests his mind and will. Maria Divine Mercy has not got this point right. Is anyone sniffing heresy here?

(2) Message (7 May 2011): My Passion the Cross and the atrocities committed by man at My crucifixion have not been revealed to the world in the way they were meant to be.
Is anyone sniffing heresy?

(3) Message (31 January2012):  I grant them [my disciples] [a] plenary indulgence to enable them carry My torch of ?re so that they can spread conversion. They must say this prayer for seven consecutive days and they will be given the gift of total absolution and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Response:  Private revelations often contain promises of special rewards for faithful followers. But there are two big problems here.
(a) Jesus does not grant plenary indulgences. He has delegated the dispensing of indulgences to Church authorities. They decide what pious practices merit a plenary indulgence, and the conditions.
(b) total absolution of sins comes through the sacrament of penance, not from reciting a particular prayer over a 7-day period, however meritorious that prayer may be.

This small sampling of messages should make it clear that the views on the ‘warning’ website contain serious doctrinal errors and are not a reliable guide to the Catholic faith.

Fr. Angel Sotelo on MDM, Part 2

Why would loyal Catholics want to defend the private revelation of Maria Divine Mercy??

Hi Father - hope you’re ok :) I read the Jimmy Akin article you linked in an answer about Maria Divine Mercy. The writer appeared to know nothing about the actual messages bar a few facts that he manipulated to turn into an argument. The book of revelations has a lot in it which corresponds to the messages. Sorry to bring this up again, but after reading it, it seemed he didn’t have a very solid or convincing argument. Thanks for your time - Hannah :)

Fr. Angel Sotelo on MDM, Part 1

Responding to an anonymous post asking what the good father thinks about Maria Divine Mercy, we repost what Fr. Angle Sotelo said in his blog  DOMINUS PARS HÆREDITATIS MEÆ dated 28 September 2012.

Dear Anonymous,

Maria Divine Mercy is the name of a woman who is allegedly receiving messages from the Virgin Mary. Her complete identity is unknown. From interviews she gives, she seems to speak with an Irish accent, and purports to live in Europe. She claims to have been away from the Church and the sacraments for many years, even veering toward becoming an agnostic, before she was chosen by the Virgin Mary as a messenger. Here is my reaction:

1) I believe firmly that Jesus, Mary, and the Saints can communicate in a special or privileged way with individuals and these communications are called “private revelations.”
2) Private revelations are given for the simple reason of drawing upon the riches of the Gospel, the Public Revelation, in order to take us to Jesus and proclaim Him as King in our lives, and submit to His kingship within the practice of the one, true Church.
3) Any private revelation which is critical of the Pope or of his divine authority to make decisions for the Church is to be condemned outright, as are those messages which are critical of the authority of the local bishop and the college of bishops (the Magisterium) who also have been granted the power to “bind and to loose.”
4) Many messengers or seers of these so-called messages from heaven are nothing more than a pseudo-Protestant attack on rightful authority in the Catholic Church, disguising itself as Jesus or Mary to do an end run around the Magisterium’s pronouncements.
5) It is obvious that “private-revelation laity” attacking the Pope and bishops are simply imitating the so-called Protestant Reformers, so in order to avoid being exposed for the heretics or schismatics they are, some lay people decide to publish messages from Jesus or Mary, in the hopes that Catholics will fall for this fraud and accept the attacks against rightful authority which they otherwise would not accept.
Fr. Angle Sotelo,
Priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of
Fresno in California.
6) Maria Divine Mercy does not publish her total identity, so we cannot see what her life is like in connection to her parish, or her diocese, or her bishop. That is a MAJOR red flag. She has not submitted these messages, therefore, to her local bishop. Second MAJOR red flag. And she is calling herself the greatest prophet of the end times. Third MAJOR red flag, as she is setting herself up as a “prophet of God” who has more authority than the Pope.
7) For the reasons listed in #6, and not even counting the theological errors which are said to exist in her messages, they should in my opinion be dismissed and not given even the pious or human faith given to an approved private revelation.
God bless and take care! Fr. Angel

Reblogged from Fr. John Corrigan

This blog post from Fr. John Corrigan was lifted from his "Blog of a Country Priest" posted last 13th of May, on the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima.  Fr. Corrigan serves the St. Mary Parish in Hamilton, Ontario under the Parish Priest Fr. Patrick Mugavin.

Is Pope Francis an imposter?
Today is the 96th anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady’s of Fátima.
Later today, in Fátima, Portugal, the archbishop of Rio de Janeiro will consecrate to our Lady the pilgrims he will host for World Youth Day. The college of Portuguese bishops will join him at the shrine to consecrate Francis’ pontificate to our Lady of Fátima, at the pope’s personal request.
Here’s a three minute rundown of the Fátima apparitions for those who don’t know or need reminding:
In view of the supernatural events which occurred at Fátima, and Pope Francis’ evident belief in and devotion to the apparitions, today might be a good day to raise the spectre of mystics and visionaries who claim that Francis is an anti-pope and agent of the anti-Christ.
(I decided I wouldn’t blog about this, since I don’t want to add to its notoriety. But I have heard of priests, in Australia, who felt compelled to denounce these false prophets from the pulpit, such is the misplaced enthusiasm in some parishes.)
The most famous of these visionaries is “Maria Divine Mercy,” an anonymous Irish woman who claims to receive locutions from our Lord and the saints. She shot to fame in the wake of Pope Benedict’s resignation because of a locution she published nearly twelve months earlier, which seemed to prophesy his unusual departure:
My poor Holy Vicar, Pope Benedict XVI, will be ousted from the Holy See in Rome.
Last year, my daughter, I told you of the plot, within the corridors of the Vatican.
A plan to destroy My Holy Vicar was devised in secret on the 17th March, 2011, and this will come to fruition, for it has been foretold.
At the present time, more than eighteen thousand people follow Maria Divine Mercy on Facebook, and who knows how many people have paid for her ebooks?
Jimmy Akin, one of the Catholic sphere’s super-bloggers, wrote about her at length shortly after the election of Pope Francis, and concluded that she’s not worth heeding. His case is compelling, as is the case presented by Prof Mark Miraville, a renowned Mariology expert.
Neither author, though, considers the seed of self-destruction contained in Maria Divine Mercy’s most recent messages. In mid-March, she published a locution which ultimately exposes the lie. Here’s the pertinent part:
There is to be a particular insult, which will be inflicted upon My Holy Name, in an effort to desecrate Me, during Holy Week. This wicked gesture, during Holy Week, will be seen by those who keep their eyes open and this will be one of the signs by which you will know that the imposter, who sits on the throne in My Church on earth, does not come from Me.
Fr. John Corrigan
I’d like to think that followers of Maria Divine Mercy’s messages paid extra attention to Pope Francis during Holy Week — and were at least perplexed when he didn’t deliver any desecration worthy of the name. The only gesture which remotely comes close was the pope’s Holy Thursday ritual feet-washing, which incorporated women and Muslims.
It was a controversial gesture, to be sure, but a wicked one? A “particular insult,” which desecrates the Lord himself? If this is the best the Anti-Christ can do, then maybe John’s Apocalypse is a bit overhyped.
Personally, though, I’m inclined to stick with the scriptural account and expect much worse from the forces of evil. Speaking of scripture, the Bible provides us with a measure for assessing prophets:
I will give thee a test; If the prophet foretells something in the Lord’s name, and it does not come about, this was no message from the Lord; it was the prophet’s vain conceit that imagined it; let no word of his strike terror into thee. (Deut 18:22)
That leads me to conclude that Maria Divine Mercy is a false prophet. Let no word of hers strike you with terror. Is Pope Francis an imposter? No. There’s nothing to see here. Carry on.

The Absurdity of MDM Cult and Utterances Against St. Peter (Pope Francis)

I have being reading Maria Divine Mercy's utterances against the background of the Sacred Traditions of Holy Mother Church, her long standing sound teaching imbued with the wisdom of the sacred scripture, the wisdom of the Saints and the Church Fathers, and found they are absurd, unthinkable, and unimaginably targeted to cause schism by means of her demonic and heretical utterances. MDM Cult is not only instigating the people of God to turn away from the Pope with her end time erroneous massages, but equally and gullibly insulting the Chair of St. Peter, and calling the Holy Father "impostor."

THE “MARIA DIVINE MERCY” MESSAGES -- BEWARE!

Fr. Carlos Martins
(His message was lifted from the Mother of God forum dealing with MDM dated 29 April 2013))

There is an abundance of people spreading these messages on the internet. More and more people are sending me emails containing them and asking me to promote, “Maria Divine Mercy”.

Stay away from this absurd and false prophet. “Maria Divine Mercy” is not receiving authentic messages. Many ignorant and gullible people are jumping on her bandwagon, or at least entertaining her absurd messages, to their own harm.
Fr. Carlos Martins is among the Catholic priests
and other defenders of the True Church
who have been maliciously slandered and
maligned by MDMers.  None of them
can defend the indefensible heresies of their cult leader
who knows this and have conveniently instructed
its followers not to defend them, to make
them look meek, humble and persecuted.
But ofcourse, as sly as the devil, its followers
are discreditng the people trying to correct
and restore them to the right path.

It is clear that the nature of her messages are to place a wedge between the faithful and the Church, specifically between the faithful and the Holy Father, Pope Francis. One of the “revelations” received by this very misguided person is that Pope Benedict will be the last Pope on earth, that he will be ousted from office, and that Pope Francis is a false pope. All three claims are false and individuals who believe them show they do not believe Our Lord's words in Matthew 16:18-19. In questioning Pope Francis, the Vicar of Christ on earth, they are questioning Jesus Christ himself. It is for such people that Hebrews 13:9 was written: "Do not be led astray by various kinds of strange teachings." Furthermore, name for me ONE Saint in the Church's long history that placed a private vision or revelation above the word of the Pope and of the Church? You won’t find any.

“Maria Divine Mercy” states that she has received messages from “the Holy Trinity as well as by the Virgin Mary.” Name for me ONE visionary from the Church's list of approved apparitions that described himself/herself as a "visionary", "prophet", or "seer"? None exist. The seers at Fatima, St. Bernadette, St. Catherine Laboure, etc., all submitted their visions, received messages, and interpretations of both, to the Church. This is not only a recipe for spiritual health, it is also the mark of holiness. “Maria Divine Mercy” lacks both.

The hooded cloak called anonymity protects scam artist and frauds
from the  probing eyes of authorities on their nefarious and/or
fiduciary agenda.  This is the hallmark of the devil who mush hide
from the light the better to ensnare unwary victims.  This anonymity
is in and of itself enough to betray the deception behind the
MDM messages. It's very convenient for her to have her
fake Christ say that his seer must be anonymous to preserve
her protection for his evil purposes. Only from the devil.
There are no prophets from God who is anonymous.
Finally, “Maria Divine Mercy” writes anonymously. No one knows who she is. This, in fact, should be the first thing to set off alarm bells. Name for me ONE prophet that hid himself/herself in secret while slinging out "revelations" without accountability and without subjecting himself/herself to the authority of the Church? There are none.

In giving credence to “Maria Divine Mercy”, devotees are disobeying the laws of the Church, are promoting an evil which is sowing discord among the faithful, and are leading people away from the Church, the same Church for which Christ shed his blood.

Those who subscribe to or spread these messages need to repent, for one day they will come under the judgment of God for doing so.

NOTICE AND WARNING TO ALL CATHOLICS OF NOTE. THERE IS A GROWING CULT BY THE NAME MARIA DIVINE MERCY (MDM).

By Fr. Martin Cross Cmf.
MDM ABSOLUTELY FALSE AND PERVERSE AND EVIDENTLY THE WORK OF THE DEVIL.

The massages and utterances of mdm are evidently false , perverse and the work of the Primordial Enemy of the Church, the devil. Be warned and warn others. There are four basic reasons that evidently tell us so convincingly and beyond all reasonable doubt that it is the work of the evil one, these are:

Fr. Martin Cross is a devout Catholic Priest
based in the African Continent and who have

staunchly defended  the Catholic Church
against the  heresies from the mouth of
Maria Divine Mercy.
(1). Hiding personal Identity, this person (a woman supposedly) is unknown yet has about 19,000 crowd s all over the globe, nonetheless, through her utterances and those of her followers we know who it is dwelling in them.

(2). Utterances against St. Peter (Pope Francis ipso facto the Church), which shows christ, speaking against his own Body the Church, which he has powerlessly allowed the Cardinals and the Pope to steal from him if you like.

(3). Contradictions of the truth of faith, the scripture and the Magisterium.

(4). Lack of evident virtue of humility manifested in holy Obedient.
